Welcome to my blog, and thank you for stopping by. I hope you find it informative, and if there is anything I have missed or you would like me to talk about please drop me a line of suggestion. After seeing a nutritional therapist I decided from the improvement of my own health that I would like to be there in the same way for others, therefore, I studied two degrees; one in Nutritional Therapy and another in Bioscience Nutrition so that i could be equipped to support a number of health conditions. I now work for a supplement company on a clinical team supporting practitioners and keeping upto date with all new scientific information and provide private consultations too aswel as keeping my blog going :)

Peanut butter slim your tummy time - recipe for homemade protein bars

Miss all the bizarre ingredients added to a commercial protein bar by making your own.  The added beauty of this is that you can customise it to your protein requirements.

Protein bars are best eaten as a snack to manage blood sugar levels to rid cravings and also for muscle recovery after exercise.

Serving: 8 bars (click on ingredients to locate sources)

Ingredients
1 scoop (approx 30g) Body balance
150ml Water (fresh purified tap water)
Sprinkle of ground Cinnamon
200g (Optional) Dark Xylitol Chocolate

Recipe
·         Mix ingredients together and heat till warm in a pan and grind down half a stick of cinnamon
·         Line a glass rectangular dish 23cm x 35cm with greaseproof paper
·         Pour mixture evenly into a dish and place in the fridge for 8hrs.
·         After the 8hours take out and cut into blocks.

Optional Chocolate coating

·         Fill a pan 1/3 of the way with water and bring to the boil
·         Place a bowl above resting on the sides of the pan so it does not fall into the water
·         Break chocolate up into cubes and heat above water
·         Once melted, dip protein blocks into chocolate, fully coating them and place back onto greaseproof paper and put back into fridge for a further 30mins
