The nutrition for love this valentines day

It is soon to be the most romantic day of the year ‘14th Februrary’. Today, I have put together some suggestions to help you and your partner spoil each other for the perfect valentines day and you dont even need to leave your cosy abode.
Oysters the food of love
Lets bring out the greek goddess ‘Aphrodite’ for valentines day by serving a natural aphrodisiac such as oysters. Oysters have long been associated to their romantism,  their aphrodisiac nature may be due to them being absolutely packed with zinc. Zinc  is so important to support a healthy level of hormones such as progesterone and testosterone, both of which are beneficial for both of your fertility levels.
Face packs
A nice option would be to use something like avocado as a face pack the night before valentines. Avocado naturally contains vitamin E which does wonders for the skin and will leave you with a nice radiant healthy glow.  Start adding vitamin E food sources such as avocados and brazil nuts to your daily diet. A healthy level of vitamin E in both men and women is related to a healthy fertility level, a reduced risk of miscarriages and healthy youthful skin.
Chocolate
Chocolate is always an appreciated gift on valentines, so treat both of you this valentines with some dark raw chocolate.  The darker the chocolate, the more the flavonoids it contain to protect your cells from ageing. Not only does this help you to remain looking young but have you noticed how good it makes you feel, this is because eating chocolate encourages the release of your joy and bliss brain chemical; anandamide.
Panax Ginseng
This has long been used as a herb to support male fertility and supporting energy. Part of this may be due to its ability to enhance a persons well being, if you have noticed that your partner has been working really hard lately and seems a little withdrawn this may be a nice little gift to raise his spirits.
Massage oils
A massage is a beautiful way connect with your partner and let them know that you love them. What better gift to give a partner than something that heals them both emotionally and physically and enheightens your bond.  Having a massage can reduce tension by encouraging the body to release the happy hormone serotonin, the relaxing hormone dopamine and the hugging hormone called oxytocin.  Not only will this help you bond but the destressing effect of a massage  can help regulate the stress hormone cortisol that could when raised lead to weight gain.
When choosing oils try going for essential oils such as almond and  basil as the aromas are believed to boost your sense of wellbeing and encourage a healthy fertility level.

Womens nutrition for looking good this winter.

This week i am going to be giving some girlie advice to us women to help us to stay looking good and feeling great.
The way to healthy glowing skin
Our skin is so delicate and during the harsh cold weather of winter our gorgeous summer glow can be lost and sensitive skin can become a little less supple. There is a way to fight back against the winter strains, have you noticed vitamin E and CoQ10 are always a focal ingredient in face and hand creams? That is because if skin could think, these would be the nutrients it would dream about. Vitamin E and CoQ10 really help support collagen and elastin to reduce and prevent wrinkles, they also protect cells from any free radical damage induced by external factors such as pollution and cold weather. Therefore, during this winter make sure you apply plenty of facepacks that contain plentiful amounts of these nutrients such as avocados, coconuts and olive oil in addition add these edible food packs into your diet.
The key to a flat stomach
During winter many of us girls tend to enjoy a night in with our friends or loved ones having  some comfort foods to helps us feel warm and cosy. A good way to reduce the risk of weight gain and bloating would be to make sure you balance your blood sugar levels with proteins from meat, fish, beans and pulses with every snack and meals. These foods also contain B vitamins, chromium and carnitine which supports a healthy metabolism of fats and help to modulate a healthy level of satiety. On movie night, make a snack bowl of  brazil nuts, almonds and seseme seeds to share as they are rich in magnesium. Magnesium is useful in reducing the premenstral stomach bloating as it supports the activity of your water balancing hormone; aldosterone.
Making the term ‘feeling hormonal’ a thing of the past
During our menstraul cycle or even during the menopause we can experience some erratic changes in our mood and some dips in our energy which leave us not knowing whether we are coming or going. A little addition that can be helpful is Siberian Ginseng as it is a gentle approach to improve our wellbeing and balance our energy levels.  Also adding some liver supportive foods such as dandelion and beetroot can help improve the metabolism of your hormones to keep you well balanced.
Beating cellulite
Oh delightful cellulite, this lovely treat that many women have the joy to experience.   However, there are some suggestions that can help with this. One would be a massage, this relaxing suggestion never needs much encouragement. The best massage would be a deep lymphatic massage to encourage the breaking down and removal of toxins from the fat cells.  At home you can also massage these areas by using a massaging brush in circular motions. Within the diet have green juices that you make fresh in the morning including seaweeds and spirilina daily to also encourage lymphatic drainage.
